A New Chapter at RTA

Dear RTA Community,

We’re about to embark on a journey together.

Last week, I stepped into the role of Executive Director at RTA, and I’m honored to introduce myself to the incredible individuals—our alumni, teaching artists, supporters, and partners—who make this work possible.

RTA isn’t just an organization to me; it’s a story I’ve lived. That’s why I created a short video to say hello and share a bit about my journey.

I can’t wait to collaborate with you—to expand our reach, bring the arts to more incarcerated people, and share the transformative stories and creations that emerge from this work. I’m grateful for what RTA opened up for me, and now I’m here to pay it forward. Will you join me?

This is just the beginning. Let’s get started.

In solidarity,

Jermaine Archer
Executive Director, RTA
