RTAโ€™s production of Spring Spectacular at the Bedford Hills Correctional Facility on June 1, 2023, consisted of theater scenes, dance, and an art show.

The RTA participants brought their best to the stage and canvas. With the guidance of RTAโ€™s teaching artists, Vincent Mraz and Sifiso Mabena, the RTA participants at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility performed adapted scenes of Electra by Sophocles. Dance was choreographed by RTAโ€™s teaching artist, Belle Torres, featuring dances from various countries, ethnicities, and decades. The Visual Art Exhibit showcased various artworks made in RTAโ€™s visual arts program led by Angela Tornello.

The evening was full of warmth, encouragement, and inspiration as the audience cheered on the cast and crew, who put forth a spectacular show with hard work and confidence.

The project was produced with funds from ArtsWestchester and Westchester County Government.
