The film follows the inspiring story of RTA alum John “Divine G” Whitfield (played by Colman Domingo), as he finds purpose by acting in RTA’s Sing Sing Correctional Facility theater group alongside RTA alum Clarence Maclin, who plays himself.

Several other RTA alums, including Whitfield, Clarence Maclin, and Board Member Sean Dino Johnson appear in the film. Maclin has been collecting awards and nominations for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of himself in the film.
